The Golfie [the Cobar Bowling & Golf Club] is close should you fancy a hit, a bowl, food and good company.
The paintings by [my mother] Yvonne Beard in this house feature our Outback Pubs – The Great Western Hotel, The New Occidental (The Ox) that was and The Metropolitan at Nymagee. You will be astounded by the delicacy and detail of these watercolours as you can even distinguish the bricks in the brickwork. And yes, they are red reflecting their construction from the magnificent rich red earth upon which we thrive.
